Train de Vie

The title is inspired by a movie i liked very much. The photo was taken on the subway today. I kept thinking what to comment on ~DeathIssue's journal. And i got that feeling that taking this train every day sometimes gives me.
I'll try to explain. It's an old man going somewhere at a very high speed. I saw this as a metaphore for the way our lives are driven through darkness, while we most of the time accept this darkness for what it is and not even wonder if there is something else out there. It's about speeding to an unknown destination while not being aware or in control of where you are going. It's about unconscious factors driving your life. It's about speeding to get somewhere and not having the time, not having the chance to see, to know, to discover what is around you. He looks up and i thought this sugests that maybe he's having a moment when he asks himself if there's something else out here. UP THERE. He's old. Will The Train of Life take him to salvation? Or is salvation just a mad man's fantasy?
